The Babylonstoren Shiraz flows into the glass in a dark ruby red and immediately exudes the wonderful aroma of dark fruit, with blackcurrant aromas particularly present. Nuances of oak and white pepper lend the bouquet a spicy component. This full-bodied red wine is soft and finely balanced on the palate. An intense chocolate note makes the Babylonstoren Shiraz a treat for the palate on its own. The red wine, which has matured for eighteen months in French oak, is also a wonderful accompaniment to a delicious steak in a pepper sauce, duck breast or game.
