More information about Bodega Argento 2015 Argento Reserva Cabernet Franc
The grapes come from the 1100m high Alto Agrelo/Mendoza. Hot days and cool nights here produce wines with amazing freshness and fruit that are not boring.
The wine matured for 4 months in French wood. This ruby red Cabernet Franc shows aromas of cherries, raspberries and currant leaves. The palate is full-bodied and very complex with ripe tannins and hints of spices, herbs and redcurrant. It ends with a soft, long finish.
The vineyards in Argentina are often located over 500 meters above sea level and thus benefit from the cooling influence of the Andes. Similar to Chile, plenty of sunshine during the day and cool temperatures at night provide almost ideal conditions for complex wines. One major problem, however, is hail in summer, which can sometimes destroy entire grape harvests.
Mendoza is considered the cradle of Argentinian viticulture and is still regarded as the most important wine-growing region today. Malbec is considered a typical Argentine grape variety and is not grown anywhere else in the world as frequently as here.

Argento Bodega
The Argento brand represents Argentina like no other. The characteristics of the wines are so intertwined with its country of origin that when you drink Argento you immediately drink Argentina. Each glass of Argento offers a wonderful opportunity for the experienced and inexperienced wine drinker to enjoy a slice of the Argentine way of life. The wines are produced in the center of Argentine viticulture, the Mendoza region. Here, people are very proud of the long winemaking tradition and the unique terroir of the region. Especially the grape variety Malbec finds optimal conditions in the foothills of the Andes. Since 2004, the young winemaker Silvia Corti has been making the wines for Argento. She herself grew up in the Mendoza region and...
