More information about Brandhaus7 Zwetschge

We have chosen so-called Renekloden plums as the fruit base for our Brandhaus 7 Zwetschge.

What does Brandhaus7 Zwetschge taste like?

Brandhaus7 Zwetschge tastes wonderfully fruity. The use of Renekloden plums makes it significantly more tangy than other plum brandies.

What are Renekloden plums?

This variety is much more tangy, aromatic and fruity than the regular damson plum. The fruits are round-bellied, yellow-green and very fleshy. They hardly come off the stone, which is why they are rarely found as table fruit. However, they are very suitable for distilling.

Brandhaus 7 already looks back on a centuries-old history - far away from the hustle and bustle, somewhere in the depths of the Black Forest. We love living and working here so steeped in tradition and close to nature. And all because we want to preserve our 400-year-old farm. We, that is distiller Sophie Masson and her husband, who awakened the family farm from its slumber and breathed new life into the old distillery.
