Beer style: Wild Grape IPA
Usually found in collaborations
The sweet fruits come from the Xarel-Io grape variety and are normally used for the production of white wine and sparkling wine In the collaboration brew with Espiga, they were fermented together with the base of the Garage IPA For this purpose, beer and must were filled into disused wine barrels of the Penedès variety and mixed with a wine yeast The second fermentation took place with the help of a beer yeast The entire process took 9 months and resulted in a beer that enchants with a silky-soft mouthfeel and a complex depth of flavor
The creation can be described as a grape beer or a malt wine and flows into the glass in a radiant gold The unconventional drop combines the banana, grape and floral notes of white wine with the aromas of freshly harvested herbs, green hops and natural yoghurt provided by the beer An elegant bitterness accompanies the interplay of aromas and rounds off the taste harmoniously
