What is Dikkes water Mexican? In short, this is a liquor like no other. Known as "Mexican" in bars and pubs, it is drunk as a "short". How do you come up with something like that?

Tried for the first time in a pub, the tomato schnapps became a constant companion of our clique. It was a time when everything was uncomplicated, a time when you met with friends without having a plan. Without thinking about tomorrow. We want to share this feeling with everyone.

With the goal of further developing the Hamburg cult drink, we armed ourselves with alcohol, tomato puree, chili and selected spices. Fortified by a budget that big corporations could only dream of, product development began, one Saturday night in the kitchen.

Why is DIKKES WASSAR called the way it is?

The name doesn't come from anywhere, but from bygone years in Central America, when the Aztecs grew tomatoes in their gardens. For the Aztecs, tomatoes were not only a source of food, but also an important source of drinking water. In their language "Nahuatl" the Aztecs called the tomato at that time "Xitomatl", which can be translated on the one hand as "thick water", but on the other hand also as "swell body". We find both translations extremely interesting, however, DIKKES WASSAR has another meaning for us, so our name was clear.
