More information about Domaine du Père Caboche Rosé "Le Petit Caboche" IGP
From Carignan, Cinsault & Caladoc. Notes of cotton candy and red berries such as wild strawberries, redcurrants and pomegranate juice meet Mediterranean herbs, sun-ripened peach and a little blood orange & black pepper. Delicate, elegant with a balanced interplay between fruit & spice.
About the winery:
Domaine du Pere Caboche has a long history in the Chateauneuf du Pape appellation, dating back to 1652 when the estate was owned by the Chambellan family. Through marriage and a dowry, ownership passed to the Boisson family, who still own the estate today and manage it under strict traditional and environmentally friendly practices. The name Caboche comes from the French translation for horseshoe nails, a tribute to the family's former second profession as blacksmiths.
The estate's best vines are its 17 hectares in the famous La Crau sector with its rocky, chalky soils, which have been cultivated with great care over the generations. The Domaine and its wines are therefore the result of many passionate winegrowers who have passed on their knowledge and thus preserved the special character of the wines.
