The Fairview Winemaker's Selection Caldera presents itself in a beautiful red in the glass and smells wonderfully of blackberries and plums. Notes of pepper and lavender give the cuvée of Grenache Noir (55%), Shiraz (25%) and Mourvèdre (20%) a spicy component. On the palate, the red wine is pleasantly fresh and also from its fruity-spicy side. Especially aromas of red cherries and a hint of black pepper make themselves felt. Therefore, the Fairview Winemaker's Selection Caldera also fits perfectly with spicy dishes. The red wine, which was aged for sixteen months in French oak, is also a pure pleasure.
