Its location in the Upper Bavarian town of Rosenheim opens up a range of regional options for the Flötzinger brewery, Grain thrives particularly well in the sun-drenched fields around Rosenheim and the hop-growing regions of Hallertau and Spalt are not much more than a two-hour drive away For its popular Flötzinger Hell, the brewery has tapped into regional resources and ordered the finest aroma hops from the hop-growing region of Tettnang on Lake Constance Combined with green gold from the Hallertau and Bavarian malt, the result is a full-bodied brew, that shines with a generous malt note and mild hop aromas The skillful hand of the brewers:The beer is brewed on the inside and fermented for a long time, making the pale a real treat
The beery pleasure flows out of the bottle in crystal-clear gold and rests in the glass with sparkling carbon dioxide beads and a white head Not for long, however, as the olfactory bouquet of oven-fresh bread with honey, tangy lemon, grass and white pepper entices you to drink it straight away The first sip reveals a light-footed body with a mild character: floral hops meet citrus fruit, fragrant hay, yeast dough, forest honey and soft, light-colored grain
The pale ale from the Flötzinger private brewery is a straightforward beer with a clear aroma, moderate bitterness and a good balance between sweet malt and bitter hops
