More information about Ombú Reserve Petit Verdot 2018
In Uruguay, a handful of winemakers have also recognized the potential of Petit Verdot. The Ombú Reserve Petit Verdot is one of the few varietal Petit Verdots from Uruguay. The Atlantic climate, mineral soils and long summer days with cool nights, provide the perfect conditions. Outside Canelones and just before Maldonado, lies the Bracco Bosca winery, with Enrique Sartore Bracco in charge of winemaking.
On the nose, this Petit Verdot shows aromas of black cherries, blueberries, plums and violets, with vegetal mineral notes. The palate is juicy and fruity with elegant hints of spice and soft but present tannins. An overall rich Petit Verdot with wonderful fruity flavors and pleasant acidity.

Bracco Bosca
The coveted winery of Winery Bracco Bosca was founded in 2005, however its vineyards have been in the family for 5 generations. Originally from Piedmont, Italy, the family moved to Uruguay and settled in the Atlántida region to continue the wine tradition. It was Darwin Bracco and Mirtha Bosca who decided to buy the land and open a winery with the existing vineyards. In this place stands an ombú that impresses us by its mere presence and reminds us of the beauty of our homeland. A few years ago it was hit by a thunderstorm, but returned by the force of nature and is now stronger than ever. We firmly believe that true wealth is not found in material things, but in our land and the wines we can share with you.
