More information about Lanzerac Le Général 2018
Only the best barrels of the vintage were selected for the Lanzerac Le Général - and you can taste it, because the full-bodied red wine cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon (65%), Merlot (15%), Petit Verdot (15%) and Malbec (5%) impresses with its multilayered aroma interplay of vanilla and nutmeg, dark berries, plums and black currants. Smoky undertones and nuances of dark chocolate are added to the palate and are surrounded by soft tannins, before the Lanzerac Le Général says goodbye with a lingering finish. Enjoy the red wine, aged for twenty months in French oak, best with beef or lamb with a herb and pepper crust. But Lanzerac Le Général is also a real treat with a chocolate dessert with cherries. Incidentally, the name of the wine recalls the general named Lanzerac, a good friend of Elizabeth Katherina English, who named her winery after him.
