A little closer to the Baltic Sea with every sip - a portrait of 54°NORD Gin
Selina and Franzi are coastal dwellers with heart and soul. The sea and its climate not only characterize their home, but also their lives. "We love the feeling of freedom, sun, Baltic Sea air in our hair and salt on our skin. Sea moments are our time-out moments," say the two women from Selmsdorf. And it is precisely this feeling that they have captured with their 54°NORD Gin.

But let's start at the beginning. The two friends are on parental leave at the same time as they dream of creating something of their own together. They are inspired by their home country and share a preference for simple yet high-quality design. This is how Nordic Moments Design was born in 2023 as a place to go for the beautiful things in life.

Selina and Franzi are the two founders of Nordic Moments Design & 54°NORD Gin
Step by step, the two mothers, friends and founders are expanding their range - and creating 54°NORD Gin in the process. "Our home is reflected everywhere in our gin - in the origin, the design and the taste. The bottle is shaped like a message in a bottle, rounded off with our labels in the form of a stamp. Looking through the bottle, you can see the beautiful Baltic Sea beach, the dunes and the sea. Our gin is available with and without waves - i.e. also in a non-alcoholic version. An alcohol-free alternative was just as important to us because, as young mothers, we know how difficult it is to find a gin alternative on the market that is in no way inferior to the original." Incidentally, the gin also takes its name from its origin. The 54th parallel north runs along the Baltic Sea coast - and is therefore an extremely fitting symbol for this gin with a close connection to its homeland.
Only the best ingredients go into 54°NORD Gin - wild juniper from Tuscany, yellow coriander seeds, spicy licorice and paradise root, fresh lemon peel and natural blueberry flavoring for that extra kick of fruitiness. The dry gin is of course distilled at home - on the beautiful Baltic coast of Mecklenburg. And the non-alcoholic version 54°N fruity breeze without waves also shines with an exciting botanical combination of coriander, chili and natural grapefruit flavor. Both gins deliver a refreshing fruitiness that brings you a little closer to the Baltic Sea with every sip.

The 54°NORD gin is inspired by its home - the Baltic Sea coast
And what is the best way to drink 54°NORD gin? The dry gin tastes great with a classic Thomas Henry tonic water, while the non-alcoholic version also harmonizes perfectly with a wildberry tonic. Whether Selina and Franzi will create more gins in the future, however, is still up in the air. "We are open to everything and are looking forward to the future. But for now, we are happy with our creations. Whether we will expand the range in the future remains a surprise for us too."
