The Maisel & Friends brewery has made a good name for itself in the beer industry. This is largely due to the brewery's outstanding and award-winning beer. The brewers are masters of their craft and always have an open door for cuckoo brewers and friends from all over the world. In addition, the Bayreuth team is also committed and enthusiastic about supporting Germany's next generation of brewers. The brewery has numerous projects and is passionate about promoting talented hobby brewers.
To entice hobby brewers out of their kitchens, cellars, and garages, Maisel & Friends holds competitions year after year in which career changers and homebrewers can compete with each other and present their creations. Together with BrauBeviale, the brewery launched the Hobby Brewer Competition and held it for the fourth time in 2021. The winner of the prize was Fernando Coppi, who beat 160 competitors with his tropical India Pale Ale.
His beer is called Tropical Coast and is now being released in a limited edition by Maisel & Friends. The specialty beer presents itself in a warm honey tone and smells intensively of strong hops and a variety of tropical fruits. The initial drink follows the brilliant first impression and explodes on the tongue with notes of passion fruit, pineapple, orange and apricot. The crisp bitterness makes the taste picture perfect.
