More information about Maisel & Friends Black IPA
Limited special brews are one of those things: They allow brewers to let off steam with ingredients and techniques without the threat of losses due to excessive quantities However, if the beers are too good, then these limited beers sell like hotcakes and are soon sold out This is what happened with the Black IPA from Maisel & Friends The brewers dared to do it in 2017, to brew a batch of this beer style, which is still relatively uncommon in Germany, and the special brew was literally snatched out of their hands After fans of the special India Pale Ale had been thirsting for it for a whole five years, they listened to the brewers and produced a new edition of their popular Black IPA
Thanks to tireless refinement of the recipe, the second version of the Black IPA is even more sophisticated and rounded than the original The dark beer has a pleasant 6.0% alcohol content and brings a full 50 bitter units to the glass A whopping six hop varieties shape the special taste of the beer, Three types of malt provide stature, roasted aromas and the strong mahogany color In contrast to the conventional India Pale Ale, both the hops and the malt play first fiddle in this variant Juicy fruit combines with chocolate, coffee and caramel to create a sensual blend of a special kind
