The Maisel & Friends brewery is not only passionate and enthusiastic about producing good beers, but also supports its trainees with the same enthusiasm In order to give their young colleagues a brilliant end to their training, the brewers came up with something very special: After the great success of the last graduation beer, the team of trainees in their final year 2021 were also allowed to brew their own beer The experienced brewers from Maisel & Friends were on hand to help the trainees with advice and support when developing the recipe, choosing the raw materials and the brewing process Because they wanted to brew a light-footed and refreshing summer beer, the trainees opted for a session IPA
On 7 May, the time had come and the team of excited apprentices ventured into the kettle They weighed and crushed malt, mashed, added lots of hops and finally the indispensable yeast And then it was time to wait After a few weeks of patience, it was ready and you can now taste it
The apprentices' collaboration beer is appropriately called SummerCrew and comes in at a light and fluffy 4.3% alcohol content Fine berry tones combine with tangy citrus fruits, creamy honey and apple notes to create a summery symphony A hint of mint and pepper round off the interplay of aromas and make the apprentices' first work a real treat for the palate!
