More information about Mont Rochelle Miko Red 2012
In a beautiful garnet red, the Mont Rochelle Miko Red shimmers in the glass. The classic red wine cuvée of Syrah (63%), Cabernet Sauvignon (26%) and Merlot (11%) impresses with its richness of facets, as it combines fruity notes of blackcurrants with nuances of olives and spicy tones. The elegant tannins give the red wine, aged for 24 months in French oak, its pleasant mouthfeel. The Mont Rochelle Miko Red is a tribute to Miko Rwayitare, the first black owner of a vineyard in South Africa, and is only produced in particularly good vintages. Therefore, the red wine is also only available in a limited quantity of 5344 bottles. A special wine like the Mont Rochelle Miko Red is a culinary highlight in itself, but dishes with game or dark meat are also a good choice with this red wine.
