The Nederburg Private Bin Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot R109 flows into the glass in a dark ruby red and impresses on the nose with wonderful aromas of red currants, cranberries and dark fruits. A hint of dried lavender rounds off the first impression. A combination of dark and red fruits characterizes the taste of the red wine, while well-integrated tannins ensure a pleasant mouthfeel. The cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon (60%) and Merlot (40%) matured for 22 months in French oak and is a great accompaniment to grilled beef, lamb or game dishes. But the Nederburg Private Bin Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot R109 - which is part of Nederburg's best and limited wine collection - is also a highlight in the wine glass on its own.
