A legend of German cabaret took up this sound in a sketch and planted Palim Palim forever in the memory of the Germans.

The Hamburg guys at the ÜberQuell brewery have nothing to do with colonial goods or cabaret, but they found the name so resonant that they immediately came up with a beer to go with it.
