Over the course of a lifetime, you accumulate quite a few things that bear the prefix "favorite." You have a favorite pub, a favorite pair of jeans, a favorite colleague, a favorite food, and certainly a favorite beer. The guys at ÜberQuell want to reoccupy that very title, and to that end they've brewed an excellent Imperial Lager that will easily outrank your favorite beer.
In the vast array of whacky beers, a lager is almost refreshingly simple. Hops, malt, water and yeast - no fancy ingredients, no myriad of intense aroma hops. Three different malts and the hops Ariana and Mosaic were used for Lieblings Imperial Lager. The result is a light-bodied beer with delicious spice and a nice fruit kick. No more, no less.
The Lieblings Imperial Lager flows into the glass in a clear, slightly coppery sunshine gold and forms a fluffy white head. An enticing potpourri of aromas rises from the foam. Sweet, caramel malt meets floral hops, freshly cut grass and a hint of sun-ripened yellow fruit on the nose. On the palate, the lager surprises with a fresh fruitiness reminiscent of juicy mango, soft apricots and Italian lemons. A dry hop note perfectly complements the fruity aroma. The bitterness that appears in the finish elegantly complements the mix and gives the beer that certain something.
The favorite Imperial Lager from ÜberQuell is the perfect beer for any occasion. Whether you are at home on the balcony ringing in the end of the day, going on a hike with friends, simply have a thirst for beer or open the barbecue season, this beer makes every moment a treat!
