The De Krans Broederskap Red Blend 2018 shows a deep plum tone in the glass and impresses with its complex aromas on the nose. Dark fruits dominate the bouquet, complemented by spicy notes that give the red wine depth and expression.
"On the palate, a full-bodied, powerful taste unfolds. The well-structured tannins ensure an elegant mouthfeel, while aromas of black berries and ripe fruit round off the profile. The cuvée of Touriga Nacional (68%), Tinta Roriz (28%), Tinta Barocca (2%) and Tinta Amarella (2%) was aged twelve months in French oak.
The ideal climate in Calitzdorp with warm days and cool nights creates the best conditions for Portuguese grape varieties - the Broederskap Red Blend is an excellent example of this. Purely a delight, it goes equally well with dishes with dark meat, game or spicy dishes.
