More information about Magoutes Parcel Selection Xinomavro

For his flagship wine, Diamantis uses only the finest selected single-vineyard plots. Here, too, the wine benefits from its elevation of around 900 m. Elegant and fresh with a light body, it reflects the cooler climate and the resulting refinement.

The aromas naturally resemble those of its “little brother”—that is, notes of cherry and a hint of raspberry, with nuances of black olive and graphite. However, it comes across as slightly more concentrated and even more polished. The tannins are already pleasantly rounded for a 2017 vintage, hinting at the wine’s potential for the coming years.

Only hand-picked grapes from the best Xinomavro vines were used. Two-day cool maceration. Fermentation for 30–40 days in large stainless steel tanks, followed by 12–24 months of aging in old oak barrels. Followed by 12+ months of aging in the bottle. No treatment or filtration prior to bottling.

Ideal with game, lamb, grilled meats, or aged cheeses.

Magoutes Winery
