For decades, the Jagla family of pharmacists has been using a medieval monastery recipe, traditional herbalism and old pharmacopoeia knowledge to produce high-proof herbal bitters (Amaros), spiced liqueurs and sugar-free gin. The Jaglas macerate carefully matured spirits from selected bitter herbs, fine spices and essential oils - still by hand today.
A full-bodied bouquet and elegant body based on the ginseng root. Complemented by exquisite bitter herbs, barks and roots, including ginger root, gentian root, cinchona bark, cardamom, lemon root, cloves, bitter orange peel, centaury, cinnamon bark, galangal rootstock, camphor, lavender, valerian root, citronella, angelica root and a hint of saffron.
Ginseng has a characteristically tart flavor reminiscent of liquorice and the scent of the forest.
Restrained note on the finish.
