Albin Weizenkorn is a truly amazing, regional product! We at Maennerhobby have always been fascinated by grain and once we finally had a larger still to hand, we got straight down to work.
The only problem: the mash. At the time, we couldn't make it ourselves. So we looked for a willing brewery. But even though a few attempts were made at the Marlow brewery in the neighborhood, it was simply not possible to produce anything meaningful. After much deliberation, we decided that we needed our own mash tun! And so we can now produce our Albin Weizenkorn for you after all.
How is Albin wheat grain produced?
Our wheat grain is made from the finest organic wheat from Mecklenburg and a good portion of wheat malt. Specially mashed and then carefully distilled, we had already won gold at the 2020 IWS Awards before we even pushed the first bottle over the counter.
What does Albin Weizenkorn taste like?
Albin We izenkorn tastes of bread, grain and malt - just like a good wheat grain should.
What does Albin mean?
Albin is first and foremost a name. It is derived from the Latin word "albus", which means white. White - just like our wheat grain.

Martin Neumann had the idea to distill high-quality and regional spirits. He wanted to create something unique and different from what already existed. Although he did not yet know exactly where the journey should go, one thing was certain: the region needs great spirits and he wanted to follow this call.
