More information about FOERSTERs Navy Strength Gin
FOERSTER's Navy Strength Gin - hard and honest, just like its origins.
Connoisseurs will feel warm all over, because we have done a great job here. It goes way back in history, when men were still real men and left sweat, blood and even their lives every day. They were out at sea - sailors.
The Royal Navy and its infamous war fleet, always had alcohol on board as a staple to make their soldiers braver under the constant influence of alcohol, but also to keep them happy. After all, it was anything but comfortable at sea and there was rarely anything to laugh about. Alcohol also served as medicine. Gin mixed with lime was supposed to protect against vitamin C deficiency on long voyages and thus prevent illness. A daily ration of around 280 ml was served on deck until 1970, when the magic was over on Black Death Day and the use of alcohol at sea was banned.
Now we come into play - FOERSTER's Navy Strength Gin - a full 57.4% alcohol by volume - is every bit as good as its old mates from the history books. So see for yourself how our gin favorite tastes as a real men's version. For really tough dogs, the sailor's version with a little lime. But you can also enjoy the Navy Strength with a good tonic and feel a bit like a real sea dog.

Martin Neumann had the idea to distill high-quality and regional spirits. He wanted to create something unique and different from what already existed. Although he did not yet know exactly where the journey should go, one thing was certain: the region needs great spirits and he wanted to follow this call. Together with his wife Katharina, Martin sat down to plan the future project. The name MÆNNERHOBBY was chosen relatively quickly - what else should a small distillery in the village where Martin distills good schnapps be called? At that time, no one knew how big the whole thing would become. Martin didn't have any real prior knowledge, but that wasn't a problem either. In our digital age, you can always help yourself. Of...
