More information about Tonkiki egg liqueur
Originally, in addition to our Tonkiki egg liqueur hazelnut cocoa, we also had strawberry rum. But somehow the strawberry didn't go so well with the eggs. So we went back to version number 1, which works all the better. Creamy eggnog combined with delicious hazelnut schnapps.
At Easter, we also always make the "Limited Edition Poppy" - with poppy seeds. Very tasty!
How is Tonikiki eggnog made?
The base for our Tonkiki egg liqueur hazelnut cocoa consists of eggs from the Volkenshagen organic farm just around the corner. We break the eggs, separate them and mix the yolks with alcohol and our Hanuka hazelnut schnapps. We then carefully heat the mixture, stir it and leave it to cool. We always make 50 liters per batch - we actually need almost eight hours to make it.
The taste
The egg liqueur impresses with its nutty, chocolaty aroma, which blends perfectly with the sweet creaminess of the eggs. It's not just delicious at Easter!
How much alcohol does Tonkiki egg liqueur contain?
At 15.5% alcohol by volume, Tonkiki egg liqueur is a lightweight among liqueurs, making it an excellent drink.
