More information about Magoutes Vieille Vignes Blanc

A variation of Xinomavro that we haven’t had in our selection before: a Blanc de Noirs. In addition to Xinomavro, the indigenous red grape variety typical of the region, other grape varieties also grow in this vineyard. They account for a significant proportion of the blend but have not been specifically identified.

In a sense, therefore, it is a “blend.” The vineyards, planted with old vines, are located at an elevation of approximately 900 m. This results in significant temperature fluctuations between day and night.

The result is a complex, delicately spicy white wine. The high elevation preserves the fresh acidity, giving the wine a livelier and more concentrated character. On the nose and palate, we find aromas of citrus fruits, herbs (lemon balm!), and slightly floral notes.

Magoutes Winery
