More information about Maisel & Friends Sour IPA

The illustrious range of fine session beers from Maisel & Friends has a new addition! The Sour IPA is a real hop bomb and also impresses with its incredible palatability. Despite the excess of hops, the India Pale Ale is wonderfully harmonious, smooth and simply flows down the throat.

The IPA has a typical amber hue in the glass and can almost be described as naturally cloudy. The copper-colored beer is topped with a stately, pure white head that is extremely persistent and entices you to take your first sip. The fine aroma of fruity hops and honey-sweet malt also contributes to this and makes it hard to wait for the first sip.

The taste of the Sour IPA is initially malty: creamy blossom honey meets melt-in-the-mouth caramel and gently roasted malt on the palate. The hops contribute a wonderful fruitiness that harmonizes perfectly with the malt notes with aromas of lemon peel and red berries. Anyone wondering where the advertised hops are: here they come. After the malty start, the hops strike with full force and spoil the tongue with a fruity-fresh bouquet of citrus aromas and tropical fruit. An elegant acidity accompanies the hops. Delicate tongues can also taste tangerines and ripe wild berries.

The hoppy dominance of the middle section extends into the finish and, in addition to the explosion of fruit, also presents a clean bitterness that rounds off the aroma wonderfully.

A wonderfully balanced IPA that impresses with its acidity, fruit and bitterness.

Maisel & Friends

Anyone who drinks craft beer has almost certainly stumbled across this name at some point. Hardly anyone on the scene is as experimental, open, and unbiased as Jeff Maisel, the mastermind behind Maisel & Friends. This must be due to his origins, because Jeff is half American and a Californian beach boy through and through: always in a good mood, ultra friendly and on a first-name basis with everyone. Jeff is the dazzling center of his own brewery and the initiator behind numerous collaboration brews. Maisel's mission Jeff is not only a passionate brewer, in addition to brewing outstanding beers, he also wants to be a trailblazer for the craft beer movement in Germany. Creative, flavorful beers of excellent craft quality are to become genuine alternatives to industrially produced beers, and Maisel & Friends is to play a significant role in this quest. In the future, beer lovers should...
