Beer style: dry-hopped Pilsner
Peace in the world is a dream that I'm sure most of us cherish We are lucky enough to live in a largely stable, peaceful part of the world, but you can never be completely sure Everything can change from one day to the next, as our Ukrainian neighbors have painfully experienced The sudden war has thrown Europe into turmoil and burst the illusion of peace like a soap bubble Because despair is no way out, brewers from Germany and around the world have come together to brew for peace
Sebastian Sauer from Freigeist Bierkultur drummed up his colleagues and together they created beers whose proceeds will benefit the people of Ukraine In collaboration with Orca Brau, Peace was created, a classic pilsner with a naturally cloudy, straw-yellow body and finely hopped character Every bottle sold makes a contribution to the Kharkiv-Nuremberg eV relief fund, an association that supports the twin city of Kharkiv with financial resources
The beer for a good cause is a successful balance of hops and malt: a soft, pithy base brings out the juicy citrus notes and hints of woody herbs Peace was cold-hopped with the hop varieties Mittelfrueh and Perle and is refreshing, drinkable and delicious
