More information about Purple Moon
Beer style: Salted Caramel Imperial Stout
Although the surface of the moon always has the same color, on some occasions it shines in a different light How we perceive the color of the moon on earth depends on various factors: The position of the moon in relation to the horizon has an influence on this, as do dust particles in the atmosphere, the Earth's shadow and the time of day at which you look at the celestial body We see a wide spectrum of shades, ranging from milky white to sandy beige and bluish grey to bright orange Some colors are rarer than others A blue moon can only be seen every few years, the same applies to the purple moon
To sweeten the wait until the next purple moon, the Schwarze Rose brewery has come up with a beer to match: Purple Moon is an Imperial Stout that has been inspired by the taste of salted caramel and is fortunately not as rare as its celestial equivalent The magical brew brings a sensory-robbing 10.0% alcohol content and a luxurious symphony to the glass, reminiscent of creamy salted caramel fudge This effect is achieved through the use of brown muscovado sugar, roasted malts and sea salt The addition of lactose also gives the beer a wonderfully velvety creaminess
