More information about Rose Valley wild cherry brandy barrel aged
A real rarity, a noble fruit brandy from hand-picked wild cherries, mashed and distilled without stone. The wild cherry trees, up to 20 m high, are rare in nature and are difficult to harvest. The very small cherries have only little pulp. About 30 kg of wild cherries are needed for one liter of brandy. The result is an unusual, very elegant, intense wild cherry flavor, without the typical almond aroma found in most cherry brandies. After the gentle double distillation, the distillate was aged in a barrel of well-seasoned German oak, for 18 months.
