More information about Simonsig Langbult Steen Old Vine Chenin Blanc 2022
The single vineyard Langbult Steen, whose grapes are allowed to bear the "Old Vine" seal from this vintage onwards, lends its name to the Simonsig Langbult Steen Old Vine Chenin Blanc. The white wine flows into the glass in a pale straw yellow that turns lime green at the edge. With its multi-layered aromas of orange blossom, melon, dried apricots and ginger, the Simonsig Langbult Steen Old Vine Chenin Blanc delights the connoisseur. The crisp acidity is noticeable on the palate, which is carried by aromas of pear, lime and green apples. The beautiful minerality and slightly creamy texture make the taste experience of the Simonsig Langbult Steen Old Vine Chenin Blanc perfect. The white wine matured for eleven months in French oak and goes wonderfully with dishes with grilled fish, chicken or cheese. But the white wine is also always a pleasure on its own.
