The Steenberg Catharina is a full-bodied red wine cuvée made from Merlot (59%), Cabernet Sauvignon (27%) and Malbec (14%), which impresses with its intense aroma of plums and blackberries. Notes of lavender, vanilla and dark chocolate round off the bouquet perfectly. On the palate, the fruity aromas of dark cherries, blackcurrants and raspberries are surrounded by a light herbal note and a soft texture. The Steenberg Catharina, which has matured for 24 months in French oak, is best enjoyed on its own or served with dark meat or spicy dishes.
