More information about Fresh Hop Püls
Autumn is a magnificent time of year in itself The landscape is a vibrant red, yellow and orange, the first gleaming chestnuts patter from the trees, green acorns dot the leaf-covered ground, mushrooms grow like weeds, thick fog cloaks the morning in a mysterious haze and at midday the last warm rays of sunshine shine from the blue sky The absolute highlight of the season, however, is the hop harvest and the resulting green hop beers
In late summer, the aromatic cones are plucked from the sometimes up to seven-metre-high vines and prepared for further processing This is precisely when some breweries get in on the action to get their hands on the freshest flowers Freshly harvested hops are only available once a year and you have to get up early in the morning to get your hands on the green gold
The brewers at ÜberQuell set their alarm clocks and drove to Tettnang at the crack of dawn to pluck the cones themselves The team took a whopping 40 kilograms home with them to throw straight into the kettle They used the undried hops to brew their fine Fresh Hop Püls, which is released every October and is sometimes drunk a short time later The green hop Pils is wonderfully floral and shows us a side of hops that we don't usually get to see

AboutQuell Breweries
Beer is the great passion of the team behind ÜberQuell, and you can see and taste it! With handmade beer from real people for real people, pizza from the stone oven and a lot of heart and soul, the makers have been attracting countless beer fans ever since. A matter of the heart Even though the guys from St. Pauli have a reputation for being tough guys, there's one thing you can't write off from them: Passion. And that's what makes ÜberQuell a true highlight in Hamburg's culinary landscape. Axel Ohm and Patrick Rüther are the brilliant minds behind the project and the people who conceived and set up the microbrewery...
