More information about Warwick Professor Black Sauvignon Blanc 2023
With its wonderful aroma of green figs, nettles, citrus fruits and peach, the Warwick Professor Black Sauvignon Blanc will win over every fan of the grape variety. This range of aromas continues on the palate: Notes of lime, passion fruit and green figs are balanced by a fresh acidity. This multi-layered white wine is best enjoyed with grilled salmon or a spicy pasta salad. But the Warwick Professor Black Sauvignon Blanc is also always a treat on its own. Incidentally, its name commemorates a scientist from Stellenbosch University who tested the first plantings of a peach variety at Warwick. Vines were later planted here instead of peach trees. The first Sauvignon Blanc that emerged from this is said to have had a strong peach aroma.
