More information about Whisky Cask Shares

Whisky in cask strength with individual maturation time! For you, the unique opportunity to participate at an early stage in one of our whiskey barrels. It works like this:

- You buy a share in one of our casks
- We mature the whisky for at least 4 years, i.e. until about the middle of 2025 - or longer if you wish!
- At the end of the maturation period, you are guaranteed to receive 1.0 liters of whisky at cask strength - no losses due to the Angel Share!
- You get your whisky after the storage time in noble 0.5 l bottles with appealing design

For each whisky barrel share you will receive a certificate. This certificate can also be issued to the gift recipient.

Also, you/they can specify a different shipping address to the billing address.

Storage, bottling and shipping within Germany is included in the price. So there are no further costs for the recipient.

Cask portrait: Ex-Sherry Cask (Amontillado)

Amontillados are among the most complex sherries on the market. They are initially aged for several years under a layer of yeast, which is killed by further addition of wine distillate ( fortification to at least 17% ) and the sherry continues to age oxidatively. The result is a dark, amber colored semi-dry sherry.

Directly from Jerez de la Frontera (Andalusia) comes the 130l barrel in original size (!) and produces a fascinating fusion of sweet malt and pithy nut, reminiscent of roasted almonds.

Distilled: 25.06.2021
Alcoholic strength at bottling: 60% vol.
Cask type: ex-Sherry-Cask
Barrel no.: 009
Total capacity: 110 liters

About the production process:

The storage of the whiskies takes place in a listed building in Schwäbisch Hall - a vaulted cellar over 400 years old - which provides ideal room conditions for steady maturation. Since regionality and quality play an important role for the founders, they have intensified their cooperation with a local distiller in the Hohenlohe district. He distills the distillate for the barrels according to their specifications.

Whisky plant

Whisky-Werk is a young and innovative company, which Marco Hage founded together with Jörg Zahorodnyj, an established whisky trader, at the beginning of 2020. The idea to work together in the field of whisky came up spontaneously when both accidentally realized that together they can draw on more than 40 years of experience in the field of whisky & spirits. Reason enough to pour this knowledge and creation into a venture to follow the whisky passion. The storage of the whiskies takes place in a listed building in Schwäbisch Hall - a vaulted cellar over 400 years old - which provides ideal room conditions for constant maturation. Since regionality and quality play an important role, the cooperation with a local distiller in the Hohenlohe district was intensified, who distills the raw material of next generations of barrels according to strict specifications. All (pre-used) barrels as...
