More information about Blacks Golden Rum
The Blacks Golden Rum is produced at the Blacks Brewery and Distillery. This brewery was founded in 2013 in Country Cork for craft beer. In addition, the operators, the couple Sam and Maudeline Black, opened a distillery in Kinsale. So it came that in 2018 with Blacks Spiced Rum the first Irish rum came on the market. The demand for this unique rum was so huge that the Blacks followed up in 2020 with the - Blacks Golden Rum. This made his name all honor by winning the "World Rum Awards" in gold in the same year.
The Blacks Golden Rum matured after distillation from imported molasses for five years in oak barrels, which were previously filled with Irish whiskey. This gives it this unique flavor. The Blacks is produced only in very small batch units. and is perfect symbiosis between the Caribbean culture and the Irish attitude to life.
Our drinking recommendation is: Either enjoy the Blacks Golden Rum with Ginger Ale or Coca-Cola as a long drink or simply "on the rocks" on ice.

We live the dream since 2013! Born out of passion by husband and wife team Sam & Maudeline Black. What started as a hobby after Sam received a home brew kit as a Valentine's Day gift from Maudeline many years ago, quickly became an obsession and a burning desire to experiment and create. It is this enthusiasm and drive that made Blacks Brewery a reality. Our mission is to escape the mundane of the mass market by producing beers with passion, personality and lots of hops! We have a seven strong core lineup, but are constantly creating new recipes and whimsical flavor combinations, releasing between 6 and 10 experimental beers per year. In 2015, we expanded and added our state-of-the-art distillery, where we produce a range of boutique spirits including gin, rum and whiskey.
