Breaks gin

Aromatic time out. Take your break. Our name says it all, because we think "gin o' clock" is not just a saying, but time to say yes. To a few moments of break. To a glass of good gin. To simply letting the day be the day. And because the label "Breaks", once known as "Breaks Records", has been with us for a long time.

But the former record store of Harald Reinholz is not the beginning. It goes back even further, when Harry was still small and his grandfather was an enthusiastic distiller. The future Breaks founder liked to look over his shoulder, "I think my fascination for distilling was already born back then," he says, and in 2014 he finally put the long-standing idea of creating his own gin into practice with the first recipe and distilling experiments.

In 2015, the first bottle of Breaks Gin is corked - a decades-long passion flows into this bottle, and it flows into all those that follow. Just as grandfather Ferdinand Wiesenmayer had nature in his name, the natural flavor has always been in Breaks Gin from Baden. Today, the gin is still made by hand in Ottostrasse in Karlsruhe. Production, marketing, distribution - all in family business, with unbroken fascination and dedication to every detail.

Under the label Breaks Gin we offer six exceptional products and always limited special editions. All hand-numbered and with identification of the spirit, all distilled according to the traditional London-Dry method. Per batch we fill about 600 to 800 bottles of 500 ml, two brandies per day, all in our Karlsruhe manufactory and always by master hand.
