Tasting Notes
Aromatically, the 25-year-old Platinum Rum from "Excellent & Rare" represents a powerful, balanced sweetness followed by roasted almonds, rum pot, dried fruit and heavily toasted wood, enriched with spices such as cinnamon and clove.
The initial taste is followed by sweet oak, which transitions into a honeyed smoky hickory. Manuka honey and cold charcoal fire, stuffed peach with marzipan and light hints of demerara sugar.
A complex sweetness, robust and long-lasting, with pleasant notes of green tea.
