More information about Rum Gold Edition
The exclusive "Excellent&Rare" brand of the Singold distillery comprises premium products selected according to the strictest standards. The special feature is the "double cask matured finishing", as the final touch to a perfect product.
The rum for the Gold Edition is distilled from sugar cane molasses. After 18 years of maturation, it receives its refreshingly different finish in tequila barrels.
Our limited edition Gold Edition Batch 1 is released with a total of 253 bottles.
Tasting Notes
The "Gold Edition" reflects exactly its genesis. On the one hand, the exquisite sugar cane, whose molasses was distilled into rum, and on the other hand, its post-maturation in a tequila barrel, in order to be kissed by the sunshine twice.
The nose powerful, sweet and yet fresh. A dessert of dark chocolate mousse with overripe bananas and a hint of fresh mint make themselves known. Winey notes of grappa join in, with the sweetness of acacia honey and cinnamon always resonating in the background.
On the palate, fine notes of licorice and licorice spread, these are framed by ripe bananas, coconut, cocoa and roasted aromas of cold coffee. Filigree herbal notes float along and make the rum complex, refined and exotic.
The sweetness of licorice and raisins resonates long-lasting in the aftertaste.
Exotic, powerful and full of sophistication.
