More information about KRUM Craft Rum
Our rum odyssey began at the start of 2020. The boss was determined to make "rum made in Germany". So really "Made in Germany". While many people pretend to produce rum and then "only" import and bottle it, we wanted to do it the way we always do it: Make it ourselves.
The journey took us through extensive research into first-class raw material suppliers as well as numerous fermentation and distillation tests - and eventually we were able to offer our KRUM Rum White made from high-quality organic sugar cane molasses from Paraguay. In the meantime, we also started to build up our barrel warehouse and fill it with the various distillates from the hands of our master distiller Patrick, in order to be able to sell the first bottles of our barrel-aged KRUM rum at the beginning of 2024.
The barrel ageing in a mix of fresh American white oak barrels and ex-bourbon barrels gives it wonderfully intense notes of vanilla, wood and tropical fruit as well as a hint of sea breeze. The rum is a blend of different barrels with different ages and our master blender Marc has given his all to produce an excellent product for you.
