More information about La Speziale
Strictly speaking, La Speziale - Cola Mix Sour is not a beer at all, but an alcoholic malt beverage. The hybrid between sour beer, mixed beer drink and cola was brewed at the Vormann Brewery in Hagen. At the kettle are Orca Brau from Nuremberg, Freigeist Bierkultur from Stolberg and Bahkauf Brew from Aachen.
La Speziale - Cola Mix Sour is brewed like a classic sour beer: lactic acid bacteria meet orangey hops, barley and wheat malt. Cinnamon is added for a bit more spiciness - and just the basic cola ingredient, which is fermented together with the other ingredients.
What does La Speziale - Cola Mix Sour taste like?
The collabo brew tastes tangy and refreshing, as befits a cola mix - brewed or not. There is also a pleasant spiciness and fruitiness, subtle acidity and the sweet aroma of cola.

With 5% vol. alcohol content, La Speziale - Cola Mix Sour is only conditionally classified as a mixed beer drink.
