More information about Pangaea extra virgin olive oil
A versatile premium class olive oil. Our olives are lovingly harvested by hand and cold-extracted on the same day using purely mechanical processes. The extra virgin olive oil is made from fresh, medium to ripe olives and is completely natural.
Harvest time is mid-November to the end of December, when the olives have reached their optimum degree of ripeness and have turned purple to black-brown in color. We do not use damaged or fallen fruit.
Our Pangaea extra virgin olive oil has a very low acidity of less than 0.3%, well below the legal maximum for extra virgin olive oils of 0.8%. Its incomparably fresh, mildly fruity taste and grassy note make our olive oil unique.
It is delicious and at the same time rich in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids as well as important vitamins (A, B1, B2, C, D, E and K) and valuable minerals.
Ideal companion for cold dishes
Our delicious extra virgin Pangaea olive oil is ideal for both cold and hot dishes. Add it to your salads and dips, use it as a base for your pesto or simply enjoy it with a piece of fresh white bread, some salt and oregano. You can use it for cooking, frying, baking or marinating. To preserve the valuable ingredients as much as possible, please do not heat it above 180 °C.
