More information about Jonston Winter Time Gin
Winter Time Gin is the latest offering from the Jonston Gin brand. The limited edition was developed specifically for the winter season and Christmas. The recipe was composed around citrus fruits such as oranges and tangerines. A large amount of cocoa was also used. In addition to the classic blend of herbs and spices, the macerate was enriched with sloes and cranberry fruit, among other ingredients.
The gin has a rich and very intense aroma: first juniper, then decidedly citrus: you can clearly smell oranges and tangerines. In the finish one senses cloves, cocoa and notes reminiscent of lemongrass, ginger and candied fruit. The taste of Winter Time Gin presents with juniper, orange peel, dark chocolate, nuts and pepper.
All in all dry and warming, Winter Time Gin is the perfect choice for a Christmas gift or cold winter evenings. It can be enjoyed neat (although it is quite tart in flavor), but also used in conjunction with a good tonic or as an ingredient in cocktails.
