Our dear Max: His first liqueur development is a real hit!
You either love licorice or you hate it. Somehow there doesn't seem to be much in between. In any case, we think licorice is awesome and many of our loyal and dear customers kept asking: "Do you also make something with licorice?". It was almost like an invitation to dance. So idea, conversation and off we went with the development.
We really tried out a lot. "Just licorice" was too lame for us - somehow we had to add something else. We tried nuts, spices and fruit. Admittedly, nobody really expected it, but the banana actually won out as a dance partner. The banana juice gives it more body and rounds it off at the same time. The fruitiness without acidity is a really good match!
