Hair - Princess Weinchen is so sick of the subject. Each of her ex-princes had an opinion about it. How she should please wear her hair. To one they were too long, to the other too short. Too blond or too dark colored.
She was fed up, threw everyone to the wind, cut off her hair, holed up in her chamber high up in the castle tower and let her hair grow. For months. After a long time she let her hair hang out of the window, there was not enough room in her chamber. A young winegrower wondered about the reddish glow that could be seen in the window of the castle tower. Princess Weinchen had naturally salmon-colored hair. Inspired by this, the winemaker bred a fresh, not too sweet Rotling, exactly the same color as the princess' hair. He wanted to impress her with it, to show her that he didn't give a damn about appearances.
He tried a lot and when he found the perfect grape, he set off for the castle. The princess did not respond to his calls, so our winemaker hung a basket with wine, grapes and bread on a strand of hair that was hanging down and gave it a good tug. The princess cried out in pain and then picked up the basket in amazement.
She read the winegrower's letter and was immediately blown away. She tasted the wonderfully fresh Rotling and then allowed the winemaker to climb up to her by her hair so she wouldn't have to drink the second glass by herself, too.
