The Vivanco family began growing highland agave during Mexico's turbulent post-revolutionary period from 1919 to 1929. In Don Feliciano Vivanco's hometown of Arandas, Jalisco, successive generations of Vivancos devoted themselves to expanding the family's agave plantations.
In 1994, the family's dream of owning their own distillery finally came true with the purchase of Destilería El Ranchito. Sergio and José Manuél Vivanco are known for producing rich, balanced tequilas. For ArteNOM Selección de 1414, the family brings back their unique and exceptional tradition of fermenting agave mash with wild yeast to achieve an unparalleled reflection of the agave terroir.
