How does the Ursel Golden Oak Gin taste?
The Barrel Aged Gin shines with its intensity and captivating variety of aromas. On the nose, it convinces with concise juniper and wood notes. On the palate, tangy juniper, fruity orange and woody spruce shoots come together with the wood notes of the barrel. The result is a particularly full-bodied and mild juniper distillate.
How is the Ursel Golden Oak Gin stored?
Aging for 5 months in Hungarian Tokaj oak and chestnut barrels gives Ursel Golden Oak Gin a mild flavor and a striking golden hue.

Ursel Golden Oak Gin has a unique flavor based on the interaction of seventeen different botanicals. Juniper, oranges, and young spruce shoots are the main flavors.
Alcohol content
The alcohol content of 47% is perfect to let the flavors come to the fore without the alcohol being too prominent. Ursel Golden Oak Gin owes its intense and mild flavor to the spirit distillation process. Valuable aromas and essential oils are not masked by undesirable flavors and bitter substances, such as those produced during maceration.

Ursel Gin
Our Ursel comes from the heart of the Taunus and is certified organic - and regionally anchored. Our high-quality gin has a very special history: it comes from the idyllic little town of Oberursel in the Taunus region and is distilled in our small manufactory according to a top-secret recipe from selected botanicals. We have been producing, bottling and selling our classic Heritage since 2016. In addition to the defining aroma of our lead botanical - hand-picked spruce shoots - regional herbs and fruits lend it its unadulterated forest notes, and so the straightforward and expressive taste experience reflects precisely this wild and pristine nature of the Taunus. Even though the recipe of the Heritage is still the same, a lot has happened in the Ursel family.
