More information about Voyatzi Tsapournakos organic red wine
An elegant, extremely complex top red wine made from the red grape variety Tsapournakos - the Greek offshoot of Cabernet Franc. pressed organically in harmony with the ecosystem of the vineyards. The rolling hills of the northeast and south-facing vineyards produce an ideal and regionally diverse soil relief.
The different interplay of mesoclimate, microclimate and soil is expressed in the wines of the winery and also allows the different grape varieties to be planted in the most suitable places for them. Careful, long extraction before fermentation together with the solid grape components (the duration depends on the state of ripeness of the grapes) is followed by fermentation in steel tanks. Then the young wine is aged for twelve months in oak barrels, where the malolactic fermentation also takes place. After bottling, the wine continues to age in bottle.
Tasting notes: clear, deep ruby red, on the nose: aromas of black fruits (blackberries, plums, cherry, blueberry, black currant), herbs (thyme), tobacco, black tea, cedar, coffee, preserved plums, moss on the palate: Dry, medium acidity, high tannins, high alcohol and full body, the complex aromas of the nose complemented by hints of chocolate and spices, clove, long finish, great intensity, balanced, incredibly elegant and complex, with very great aging potential.
