More information about Schneeeule Hot Irmi

Hot Irmi is Irmgard's spicy sister. And that's not because of her attractive appearance, but because of the habaneros that were added to the kettle alongside the usual ingredients.

Like Irmgard, Heiße Irmi is brewed with ginger, oranges, lemons and pomegranate. For fermentation, Ulrike Genz makes use of the strong character of Brettanomyces yeast and conjures up a champagne-like effervescence and freshness in the beer.

However, the Habanero chillies are a clear special ingredient: the hot peppers underline the tangy aroma of the citrus fruits with fiery heat and give the Berliner Weisse a real kick.

Hot Irmi flows into the glass in a delicate, almost innocent-looking light gold color and wears a veil of fine, airy foam on its head. The cloudy beer exudes an enticing aroma of sour citrus fruits, spicy ginger and chili.

Those who dare to take their first sip are rewarded with a veritable firework of stimulating aromas. The lemon brings acidity and a light-footed fruitiness into play, while the orange subtly underlines this impression.

The ginger contributes an exotic spiciness, which is supported by the pungency and unmistakable taste of the habanero. Irmi is not called "Hot" for nothing.

We recommend this hot number to all fans of hot chili peppers: This beer will delight you!

Snowy Owl

Berliner Weisse is Ulrike Genz's favorite beer and the reason she started brewing in the first place. As a Berliner, it was and still is her desire to give good, traditional beer back to her hometown. With a lot of heart and craft, she has built up the Schneeeule label and brews wonderfully refreshing beer in a one-woman process and fine creations like Schampus Weiß Vintage, which was created in cooperation with Bayerischer Bahnhof and Freigeist Bierkultur. Snowy Owl Ulrike came up with these unusual names while taking a closer look at the Berliner Weisse: Crowned by white foam, the beer shines in bright light yellow. Yellow and white are also the dominant colors of the snowy owl, yellow eyes on white feathers. Ulrike also liked the three consecutive E's in the name, an eye-catcher, just like the monochrome labels with the large owl spreading its wings. Extraordinary is the name of...
